at UNA electronically mapped it on Friday, December 15.
- Four graves have been identified, with

- Because there is a deep ditch between
Highway 72 and the cemetery, it will be difficult to get a
crane-bearing truck near enough to the cemetery to move the

section of the Stephano’s building, with a French bistro set
for the other section.

getting a good entry/exit roadway system for the Shoals area.
Everyone agreed that HPI will go on record in support of such a

2:00 p.m., these agreements were reached:

related to local historic markers. Jerry Dowd and Billy
Warren will be responsible for the program.
- Refreshments will be provided by Board
members (cookies: Jim Ingrum, Jerry Dowd, Hester Cope, Judy
Tiffin, Bob Torbert, Billy Warren; non-sweet items: Mary
Peck; beverage: Betty Champion).
- Mary Peck will be in charge of the
Registration/Membership table.
- Billy Warren distributed copies of a
pen-and-ink sketch of the Martin-Bounds house, along with a
two-page history of the house.
- Billy Warren distributed copies of the
letter which he wrote Susan Hargett in behalf of the Board
thanking her for her three years of service as a member of the
Board of Directors of HPI.
- Jim Ingrum, representing one of the actors
at our Cemetery Stroll in November, made these suggestions for
the next Stroll in April, 2007:
- Ask the actors to arrive ahead of the
starting time for the Stroll so that all actors may see each
other’s performances.
- Provide shuttle buses from a downtown
parking lot to alleviate the parking problems in the
cemetery.
These suggestions will be added to
those offered at the 11-27-06 meeting so that our Stroll in April
will run smoothly.
